Registered/Certified Dental Assistant Prairie Dental Center is a busy, patient-focused dental practice in Sioux Falls seeking a motivated and dependable Registered/Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 8:00 to 4:30 pm and Friday 8-12. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, dependable, and a team player who enjoys learning and working in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to build cooperative relationships with both patients and coworkers. Strong computer skills are also important. Our office uses Dentrix dental software . Responsibilities Include: Chairside assisting for a wide range of dental procedures, including: Minor and major restorative dentistry Cosmetic dentistry Extractions Root canals Educating and communicating with patients regarding their dental care Assisting with orthodontic aligner cases Taking intraoral scans Taking CT scans Assisting with the fabrication of dentures and partials Assisting with orthodontic and snore appliances Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment Providing compassionate, professional care to our patients Qualifications: Must be a Registered or Certified Dental Assistant Must be certified to take dental X-rays Must be certified/qualified to monitor nitrous oxide Strong communication and computer skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques and procedures Previous dental assisting experience preferred Expected hours: 30.0 – 32.0 per week Benefits: Continuing education credits Flexible spending account Free parking License reimbursement On-site gym On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid sick time Paid time off Paid training Safety equipment provided Uniform allowance Education: Associate (Preferred) License/Certification: Registered Dental Assistant License (Preferred) Certified Dental Assistant License (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Sioux Falls, SD 57108 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
