Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech - The Oak Mountain Denture and Implant Center - Helena, AL

The Oak Mountain Denture and Implant Center is a specialized dental clinic focused primarily on extractions, implant surgery, dental prosthetics, and related procedures. We do not perform fillings, root canals, or most general dental procedures. We are seeking a kind, dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our clinical team in a sterilization and dental assisting role. The primary focus of this position is sterilization and clinical readiness, with ample opportunities to provide chairside support for surgical procedures. Prior dental or surgical experience is helpful but not necessarily required. We have a very strong, cohesive, and cheerful team that is happy to train the right person. Job Responsibilities Support instrument processing, sterilization, treatment room turnover, stocking, and overall clinical readiness Help maintain clean, organized treatment and clinical support areas Provide chairside assistance during surgical and other patient procedures, including suction and routine assisting duties (training on the job provided, can ease into surgical procedures if needed) Adjustments and impressions on dentures and other prosthetics (training on the job provided) Assist with radiographs, CT scans, digital imaging, and intraoral scanning as trained Help with patient flow and other day-to-day clinical needs alongside the rest of the team Assist with supplies, lab cases, and general clinical organization as needed Because our practice is heavily focused on surgery, this position offers significant opportunity to develop surgical assisting skills. Regular dental assisting skills are a bonus - we are happy to progress to more advanced procedures as skills develop. The same is true of the prosthetic side, where the employee will learn how to work with 3d printing and digital designs as well as adjust, deliver, and attach prosthetics to implants.
