Pediatric Dental Assistant – 3 Saturdays per Month Pay: $24.00–$32.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time Schedule: 3 Saturdays per month, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM Work Location: In person – Newton, MA About the Position Bee Happy Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a warm, dependable, and energetic Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team three Saturdays per month from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM . We are seeking an experienced dental assistant who enjoys working with children, takes pride in providing excellent patient care, and works well as part of a supportive team. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, efficient, and committed to creating a positive experience for children and their families. Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance during pediatric dental procedures using four-handed dentistry Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before appointments Assist with restorative procedures, sealants, fluoride treatments, nitrous oxide appointments, and other pediatric dental procedures Help children feel comfortable and supported throughout their visits Review oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions with parents and caregivers Properly clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and treatment areas Follow infection-control and HIPAA protocols Maintain accurate clinical documentation Assist with patient flow and help keep the schedule running efficiently Use Open Dental for patient documentation and clinical workflow Assist with opening and end-of-day setup and cleanup Required Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience is required Current dental assisting license/credential is required Comfortable and confident working with children Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work efficiently Knowledge of infection-control and sterilization protocols Availability to work 3 Saturdays per month from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM Preferred Qualifications Previous pediatric dental assisting experience Ability and qualification to take dental X-rays Familiarity with Open Dental Experience assisting with nitrous oxide and pediatric restorative procedures What We Offer $24.00–$32.00 per hour , based on experience Consistent Saturday schedule Free parking Employee discount Opportunities for professional growth Warm, supportive, and team-oriented work environment If you are an experienced, dependable Dental Assistant who enjoys working with children and is looking for a consistent part-time Saturday position, we would love to hear from you.
