Orthodontic Dental Assistant – Full-Time Waban Dental Group is seeking an experienced, professional, and dependable Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team full-time. We are looking for a candidate who is friendly, punctual, reliable, and committed to providing excellent patient care and customer service. The ideal candidate must be a team player who works especially well with children and teenagers and can help create a positive, comfortable experience for our orthodontic patients. Orthodontic Experience Required Applicants must have previous hands-on orthodontic assisting experience and be comfortable working efficiently in a busy orthodontic setting. Candidates should have experience with responsibilities such as: Assisting the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures Taking orthodontic records, photographs, and digital scans/impressions Preparing patients for bonding, debonding, and adjustment appointments Assisting with archwires, elastics, and orthodontic appliances as permitted by Massachusetts regulations Preparing and organizing instruments, materials, and treatment areas Following proper sterilization and infection-control procedures Providing patients and parents with clear instructions regarding appliances, elastics, retainers, and home care Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and treatment notes Keeping the orthodontic schedule running efficiently and anticipating the doctor's needs Required Qualifications Previous orthodontic dental assisting experience is required Current Massachusetts Dental Assistant (MA DA) license required Current Radiology Certification required Professional, dependable, punctual, and organized Excellent communication and customer-service skills Friendly, patient, and comfortable working with children, teens, and their parents Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team Experience with Dentrix or Denticon is a plus Compensation & Benefits We value our team members and offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package , including: Paid vacation: Earn up to 2 weeks of vacation during your first and second years of employment, 3 weeks beginning your third year, and 4 weeks beginning your seventh year 8 paid holidays 401(k) retirement plan with employer match up to 4% Medical insurance: Employer contributes 50% of the single premium and 33% toward all other coverage categories Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Dependent Care FSA Dental benefits Uniform allowance Free parking This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced orthodontic assistant looking for a stable, full-time position with competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and a supportive team environment .
