What You’ll Do As our Lead Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play an integral role in both patient care and team leadership. You’ll guide young patients through their dental visits while also providing mentorship and support to your fellow dental assistants. You’ll help create a nurturing environment for both our patients and our team, ensuring everyone’s confidence and comfort. Your Day-to-Day Will Include: Lead the clinical team by facilitating a daily morning huddle, reviewing the schedule, anticipating patient and provider needs, and setting the team up for a successful day. Partner closely with the dentist to provide exceptional chairside support during a variety of procedures. Prepare, sterilize, organize, and maintain instruments. Take high-quality X-rays and assist with sealants, fluoride, impressions, scans, and other clinical procedures. Create a warm, reassuring experience for patients, especially children and those who may feel anxious about dental care. Keep clinical areas safe, clean, organized, and fully stocked while supporting efficient room turnover and patient flow. Serve as a mentor and resource for dental assistants, providing coaching, feedback, and support. Help train and onboard new team members and promote consistent clinical standards and protocols. Monitor the day’s clinical flow, proactively address challenges, and communicate effectively with the dentist and broader team. Lead by example with professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to outstanding patient care .
