Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) – Job Description We are seeking a reliable, professional, and experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dental office while providing excellent patient care and clinical support. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures and treatments. Take and process dental X-rays , including digital radiographs, while following proper safety and infection-control protocols. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before and after procedures. Provide chairside assistance during restorative, surgical, and other dental procedures. Take and document patient information, medical histories, and treatment notes as needed. Use Open Dental for patient charting, scheduling, treatment documentation, and other office functions. Perform dental scans and assist with digital scanning procedures. Maintain accurate and organized patient records. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and sterilization protocols. Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients. Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment. Assist the dentist and dental team with any additional clinical duties as needed. Qualifications Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification/licensure as required by state regulations. Experience taking dental X-rays. Experience with Open Dental preferred. Familiarity with digital dental scanning technology. Strong chairside assisting skills and knowledge of dental procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work well as part of a team. Professional, dependable, punctual, and patient-focused attitude.
