The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and terminology. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists in delivering exceptional patient care, ensure smooth clinic operations, and maintain accurate medical documentation. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization standards are met. Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, orthodontic, prosthodontic, pediatric, oral surgery, endodontic, and periodontic treatments. Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates to assist in patient assessment. Manage patient records accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions and answer questions regarding procedures or dental terminology. Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical documentation. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment while adhering to safety protocols for infection control. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with familiarity in general dentistry practices. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of dental specialties including Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Pediatric dentistry, Oral surgery, Endodontics, and Periodontics. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical coding, and HIPAA compliance standards. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and assist with various dental procedures efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred; prior experience in dental clinic settings is highly valued.
