The Southwest Dental team is looking for competent dental assistants who will make our practice more efficient and pleasant. Our office is growing, and we need to grow our team to ensure excellent patient care. Responsibilities Welcome patients in the dental office Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist in 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental treatment area clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Skills Experience as dental assistant preferred Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Well-organized and reliable High school diploma Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Ability to Relocate: Abilene, TX 79606: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
