The ideal candidate will have strong technical abilities, excellent patient communication skills, and the capacity to work independently while supporting team objectives. Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient care, procedures, and treatment
• Prepare patients for appointments and explain procedures in a friendly, reassuring manner
• Take diagnostic records, including digital X-rays, photographs, impressions, and/or digital scans
• Perform orthodontic procedures within applicable scope, including wire changes, bracket preparation, elastic placement, and appliance adjustments
• Set up and break down treatment areas while maintaining proper sterilization and infection-control standards
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, elastics, retainers, and treatment expectations
• Help keep the clinical schedule running efficiently and patients moving on time
• Anticipate the doctor’s needs and work collaboratively to maximize clinical flow and productivity
• Monitor and maintain clinical supplies, instruments, and equipment
• Support same-day starts and new-patient workflows as needed
• Deliver an exceptional patient and parent experience at every visit
• Communicate effectively with the doctor, front office, treatment coordinators, and other clinical team members
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and practice safety standards
• Participate in team huddles, training, and process improvements
• Help create a positive, accountable, team-first culture as Wood Orthodontics enters an exciting new chapter under our Partner Doctor
