TO BE CONSIDERED Bilingual â English & Spanish (Required) Proven Dental Assistant Experience (Chairside DA experience required; expanded functions/cross-training preferred) Overview We are seeking a versatile and proactive Cross-Trained Dental Assistant & Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. This dynamic, dual-role position is ideal for an adaptable team player who can seamlessly transition between chairside clinical assisting in the back office and managing patient check-ins, phone calls, and appointment scheduling at the front desk. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining smooth practice flow, ensuring exceptional patient care, and optimizing both clinical and administrative operations. Responsibilities Front Desk & Administrative Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, handle check-in/check-out processes, and manage patient paperwork. Answer multi-line phone calls promptly, address patient inquiries, and schedule or confirm patient appointments. Verify dental insurance coverage, update patient demographics, and collect co-pays or payments at the desk. Maintain a clean, welcoming reception area and coordinate front-to-back office communication to minimize patient wait times. Clinical & Chairside Duties Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize dental instruments, and set up tray setups following strict OSHA and infection control protocols. Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of operative, preventive, and surgical procedures. Take dental digital X-rays and impressions as directed by the dental professional. Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and document clinical notes accurately in patient charts. Qualifications Language: Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Clinical Skill Set: Prior experience as a Dental Assistant (chairside assisting, sterilization, digital X-rays) is required. Front Desk Experience: Familiarity with front desk operations, multi-line phone etiquette, patient scheduling, and insurance verification. Software: Experience with dental practice management software (Familiarity with Curve Hero is preferred, but not required). Skills: Excellent communication, multitasking abilities, and strong attention to detail while switching between clinical and front-office duties.
