Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Temecula, CA

Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays - Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment - Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic) - Assist with medical coding and billing processes - Provide support to dentists in pediatric dental procedures - Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating dental restorations Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred - X-ray certification required - Experience working in a dental office or clinic preferred - Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes - Familiarity with pediatric dental procedures and techniques - Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, such as Epic, for managing patient records and documentation - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, dentists, and other team members - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
