Duties Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection prevention management policies. Assist dentist during a variety of procedures including general cosmetic dentistry. Take and develop dental x-rays and medical imaging, ensuring adherence to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using our patient records software. Perform vital signs assessments and document medical documentation accurately to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on dental terminology, oral health practices, and post-treatment care instructions with a friendly and professional demeanor. Support the dental receptionist by managing patient management software, scheduling appointments, and facilitating smooth patient flow within the clinic. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic environment. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with patient privacy standards. Hands-on experience with dental x-ray procedures, sterilization protocols, and infection control practices. Strong understanding of dental terminology across various specialties including pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Ability to operate dental equipment such as, dental instruments, and medical imaging devices confidently. Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within the clinical team.
