Dental Assistant - T. Keaton Mash, DMD, PLLC - North Wilkesboro, NC

Overview: We are a longstanding, independent and locally owned dental practice in North Wilkesboro seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. Our 5 op practice is looking for a motivated individual to help provide efficient, general dental care alongside our dentist. A team-based approach to managing patient care is adopted and as a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your expertise and assistance will contribute to creating a positive and comfortable experience for our patients during their dental procedures. Previous dental assisting experience or front office experience is required. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including but not limited to fillings, extractions, and root canals, fixed and removable prosthodontics - Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays - Prepare and maintain patient records - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed Skills: - Proficiency in dental practice management software - Knowledge of coding for dental procedures - Ability to take accurate vital signs of patients - Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology - Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices - Experience with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions and restorations is a plus - Previous experience as a dental receptionist or additional training in dental assisting is preferred. Preference for a lead dental assistant, or cross-trained candidate with front office experience, but not required.
