Permanent Dental Assistant Job in O2 Dental Group

Dental Assistant II We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused DAII to join our dental team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in providing excellent patient care, and works well as part of a collaborative team. As a Hygiene Assistant, you will work closely with our dental hygienists and providers to help maintain an efficient patient flow while ensuring patients feel comfortable, cared for, and supported throughout their visit. What We Offer Competitive pay Comprehensive benefits MondayâThursday schedule Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Modern dental technology and equipment Key Responsibilities Assist dental hygienists and providers with patient care and clinical procedures Prepare treatment rooms and ensure necessary instruments and materials are ready for each patient Perform coronal polishing in accordance with certification and state guidelines Assist with NâO (nitrous oxide) as permitted by certification and state regulations Take diagnostic dental X-rays as ordered Assist with patient intake, medical histories, consent forms, vitals, and documentation Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the hygiene schedule Provide patients with appropriate postoperative and oral hygiene instructions Clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments and treatment areas according to required infection-control standards Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, state, and federal regulations Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and inventory Assist with lab cases, supply ordering, and other clinical or administrative responsibilities as needed Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate service to every patient Perform additional duties within the appropriate scope of practice as assigned Qualifications Dental Assistant I (DAI) or Dental Assistant II (DAII) qualifications Coronal Polishing Certification required NC Dental X-ray Certification required Previous dental assisting experience preferred Spanish-speaking/bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a busy dental environment Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Passion for dentistry and providing an excellent patient experience Spanish-speaking is a PLUS!
