We want to meet you! Just for Kids Dentistry is looking for an energetic, dependable, and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team in Fort Wayne. Previous dental assisting or pediatric dental experience is preferred . Candidates with Indiana certifications in X-rays/radiology, coronal polishing, and fluoride application are especially encouraged to apply. We also require candidates to have a current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or be willing to obtain one. We know that skills can be taught and a great attitude is priceless. We are willing to train an exceptional candidate who has the right personality, strong work ethic, dependability, and genuine passion for working with children. YOU MAY BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU: Love working with children Have previous dental assisting experience — preferred Have X-ray/radiology certification — a plus Have coronal polishing and fluoride certifications — a plus Have a current BLS certification or are willing to obtain one Are positive, energetic, patient, and compassionate Know how to make children feel comfortable and safe Are dependable, punctual, and ready to work Thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment Are a strong team player who is willing to jump in and help Take direction well and are eager to learn Provide outstanding customer service to both patients and parents WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you'll work closely with our dentists and clinical team to: Assist during pediatric dental procedures Prepare and turn over treatment rooms Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control standards Take dental X-rays when appropriately certified Assist with preventive and restorative procedures Educate children and parents about good oral hygiene Comfort and reassure nervous or apprehensive children Help keep the clinical day organized and running efficiently Most importantly — help make going to the dentist a positive experience for every child! EXPERIENCE MATTERS. ATTITUDE MATTERS TOO. Our ideal candidate has previous dental assisting experience and appropriate Indiana dental assisting certifications. But we're also looking for someone who is an excellent fit for our pediatric environment.
