Perform general dentistry procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics. Utilize dental imaging and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and develop effective treatment strategies. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient care efficiency. Maintain detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Communicate clearly with patients about diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care to foster trust and understanding. Skills Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to oral health. Experience performing dental extractions, oral surgery, endodontics (root canals), orthodontics, implants, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Ability to interpret medical imaging and diagnose oral health issues accurately. Familiarity with infection control standards and sterilization procedures within a dental office setting. Excellent client communication skills to educate patients effectively and address their concerns empathetically. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure compliance at all times.
