Pontchartrain Dental (formerly Deep South Dental) is looking for a friendly, dependable, and team-oriented Dental Assistant to join our family-like practice. We’re a locally owned, non-corporate office that values relationships—with our patients and with each other. Our practice has recently moved into a brand-new, beautifully designed office featuring state-of-the-art equipment and updated technology , creating a modern, comfortable environment for both our patients and our team. What You’ll Do: Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment Take and develop dental x-rays Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care Maintain accurate patient records in our OpenDental system Schedule patient appointments as needed Perform basic lab tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns Follow strict infection control protocols to keep patients and team safe What We’re Looking For: 1+ year of dental assisting experience preferred Proficiency with dental software systems Knowledge of dental anatomy, procedures, and instruments Flexibility to occasionally work at our other location if needed Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities Compassion, empathy, and a true team spirit Why You’ll Love Working Here: Supportive, drama-free, and genuinely friendly work culture Locally owned practice—not a big corporate chain Competitive compensation based on experience Paid time off Exciting move into a modern new office space in just a couple of months If you’re ready to join a dental team that feels like family and grow with us in our beautiful new location, apply today with your resume .
