About TJ Dental TJ Dental is a single-doctor, patient-focused general dental practice in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh. We provide comprehensive dentistry, including restorative dentistry, crowns and bridges, implants, oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry, and oral sedation. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Dental Assistant or EFDA to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with a dentist, building relationships with patients, and continuing to develop their clinical skills. What You’ll Do Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials while maintaining excellent infection-control and sterilization standards. Take digital intraoral X-rays and assist with CBCT imaging as permitted by training and certification. Assist with restorative procedures, crowns, implants, oral surgery, and other general dental procedures. Monitor patient comfort and provide a welcoming, reassuring experience throughout treatment. Provide patients with clear pre- and post-treatment instructions. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in Eaglesoft. Assist with room turnover, instrument processing, and maintaining an organized clinical environment. Work collaboratively with the dentist and the entire dental team to keep the daily schedule running smoothly. Be willing to learn new procedures, techniques, and technology. Qualifications Required: Current dental X-ray/radiography certification as required by Pennsylvania regulations. Strong chairside assisting and patient-care skills. Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with patients. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Willingness to learn and work as part of a close-knit dental team. Preferred: 1+ year of dental assisting experience. Experience with Eaglesoft. Experience assisting with crowns, implants, oral surgery, or sedation. EFDA or expanded-function experience. Experience with CBCT or other digital dental technology. CPR/BLS certification. Why Join TJ Dental?
