Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Pikesville, MD
In the state of Maryland EFDA is not required, CDA is all that is required to complete EFDA like tasks. This position is seeking an EFDA or CDA Certified dental assistant with EFDA training. Assistant should be Dentrix familiar; comfortable planning ADA codes, completing treatment in software, writing chart notes for Doctor. Sterilization monitoring, trap replacement, compressor and filter maintenance. Scanning with CEREC, cerec maintenance, loading cerec blocks, removing sprues, sintering, glazing. Designing CEREC crowns, drawing the crown margins and designing the crowns. Some training will be given however base knowledge required. Comfortable with Same day crown flow. Cerec calibration. Removing temporary crowns intraorally for insert appointments. Cleaning up prep gently. Comfortable trying in permanent crown, adjusting crown contacts, taking bitewing. Delivery of appliances such as Night gaurds and dentures; comfortable with such adjustments. Able to be quick, have experience keeping flow going in the office, seating patients ON time, going between rooms to keep patients seated on time, intake info taken thoroughly and timely and being present with Dr as Dr flows between rooms so assistant is aware of codes completed and notes needed to be written. Keeping LAB LOG so patients don't get forgotten loading scans to implant and ortho companies for planning and notifying doctor when planning ready. Maintaining clean organized spaces, instrument inventory and loss prevention.
