Part-Time Dental Hygienist â Periodontics & Oral Surgery We are a friendly, patient-focused Periodontics and Oral Surgery specialty practice looking for an experienced and dependable Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a hygienist looking to add a few days per month to their schedule in a specialty practice with a supportive team and a positive work environment. Schedule: Approximately 2â4 days per month Flexible scheduling â we are happy to work with your availability Daytime weekday hours Potential for additional days as our hygiene schedule grows Compensation: Competitive/excellent pay Compensation based on experience Low-stress, supportive specialty office environment Responsibilities: As our hygienist, you will primarily provide periodontal maintenance and preventive care for our periodontal and surgical patients. Responsibilities may include: Performing periodontal maintenance and prophylaxis appointments Scaling and root planing as indicated Reviewing and updating periodontal charting, probing depths, recession, mobility, bleeding, and other periodontal findings Reviewing patientsâ medical and dental histories and identifying relevant changes Taking appropriate dental radiographs when needed Evaluating patientsâ oral hygiene and periodontal condition Providing individualized oral hygiene instruction and home-care recommendations Educating patients about periodontal disease, implant maintenance, and the importance of continued periodontal care Cleaning and maintaining dental implants and implant-supported restorations using appropriate techniques and instruments Identifying areas of concern and communicating findings to the periodontist/oral surgeon Assisting with coordination of follow-up care when necessary Maintaining accurate and thorough clinical documentation Following OSHA, infection-control, sterilization, and patient-safety protocols Helping create a comfortable, professional, and positive experience for every patient What Weâre Looking For Current dental hygiene license in good standing Periodontal or specialty-office experience is a plus, but not required Strong periodontal assessment and instrumentation skills Comfortable treating patients with implants and a history of periodontal disease Excellent communication and patient-education skills Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Team-oriented with a positive attitude Why Join Us?
