Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to our dental professionals and ensure a positive experience for our patients. This role involves assisting during dental procedures, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and delivering excellent patient care. Bilingual proficiency is highly valued to effectively communicate with a diverse patient base. This is a paid position committed to supporting the health and well-being of our community. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Provide patients with instructions for oral care and post-treatment procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments performed. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental tools and work areas in compliance with health regulations. Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and address any questions or concerns they may have. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients. Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, ensuring clear understanding for all patients. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to serve our diverse patient community effectively. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and sterilization techniques is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and patient care. Certification or training in dental assisting or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
