Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant / OA - Beam Orthodontics - Encinitas, CA

We are a friendly, privately owned orthodontic practice looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Registered Dental Assistant / Orthodontic Assistant to join our team! We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, detail-oriented, hardworking, and great with people. Our practice treats children, teens, and adults, so we are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients and helping create a comfortable, positive experience at every visit. Orthodontic experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Schedule Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM One Friday per month: 7:30 AM–3:00 PM Benefits 401(k) Paid vacation after one year of employment Performance-based bonuses based on overall office performance Paid Holidays In-House Orthodontic Benefits Mostly four-day workweeks No weekends Responsibilities Include Provide chairside assistance to the orthodontist during patient appointments Prepare treatment areas and patients for orthodontic procedures Perform orthodontic assisting duties within the scope of your license and training Take digital scans, photographs, X-rays, and other patient records as permitted Assist with bonding, debonding, wire changes, adjustments, and other orthodontic procedures Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, elastics, retainers, and treatment instructions Maintain accurate and organized patient records Follow proper infection-control, sterilization, and aseptic protocols Clean, disinfect, and prepare treatment rooms between patients Sterilize and organize instruments and clinical supplies Monitor inventory and help maintain a clean and organized clinical area Communicate effectively with the doctor, team members, patients, and parents Help keep the clinical schedule running efficiently and on time Assist with patient records and administrative duties when needed Perform additional duties and responsibilities as requested by the doctor We Are Looking for Someone Who Is Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and/or qualified Orthodontic Assistant - license/certification required Has updated CPR Certification Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with children, teens, and adults Dependable and punctual Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment A strong communicator Able to multitask and anticipate the needs of the doctor and patients A team player who is willing to jump in and help where needed Eager to learn and grow Committed to providing an excellent patient experience A Great Fit for Our Team Is Someone Who Comes to work with a positive attitude, takes pride in their work, notices the little details, and genuinely cares about our patients and their experience.
