Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, oral surgery, prosthodontic, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection control protocols. Take Dexis digital dental X-rays to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient care and procedure efficiency. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and relaxation. Maintain a clean, sterile environment using aseptic techniques and proper infection control procedures. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical records accurately. Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate seamless communication within the team. Utilize advanced tools such as 3D scanners and digital X-ray equipment to enhance diagnostic capabilities in general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or pediatrics. Utilizing utero scanner for Invisalign and fixed restorative Fabricating Temporary crowns Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with Dentrix Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices related to dental care. Ability to perform Digital X-ray procedures accurately Experience assisting crown and venner procedures and fabricating temporaries Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
