Responsibilities Perform root canal therapy procedures with precision, ensuring thorough cleaning, shaping, and sealing of root canals. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop effective treatment plans. Utilize dental imaging technology such as X-rays and 3D scans to diagnose endodontic issues accurately. Educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment options, post-procedure care, and oral health maintenance. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Collaborate with general dentists for complex cases requiring combined treatments like dental implants or oral surgery. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures. Use dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Stay current with advancements in endodontic techniques and materials through ongoing professional development. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment that meets all safety standards for infection control and patient comfort. Experience Proven experience performing root canal therapy (endodontics) within a busy dental clinic setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging interpretation, and infection control practices. Familiarity with dental office software including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred. Experience working with pediatric patients (pediatrics) is a plus but not required; ability to adapt communication style accordingly is essential. Knowledge of general dentistry procedures such as dental extractions, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery enhances your versatility as a team member. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while providing compassionate care. Certification or licensure as an Endodontist in accordance with state healthcare regulations is required; ongoing education in anesthesiology and medical diagnosis is advantageous.
