Duties Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and oral surgery ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and medical documentation standards Manage medical records and documentation accurately within EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations Support front desk operations by handling dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing patient inquiries Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with team members and patients Take accurate notes while dentist is speaking with patients and inbetween patients Multi-tasking while anesthetic is sitting or inbetween patients Being a team player and helping hygiene chart or answer the phones Working with nitrous oxide sedation and being nitrous certified Preparing for the next day by chart prepping and setting up trays/rooms Being able to read and understand a chart Being able to write a complete sentence with proper punctuation and capitalization Checking an amalgam separator, doing laundry, wearing proper PPE, i.e. keeping up with Osha compliance Being willing to travel with the office to CE courses and having a willingness to learn and grow with the team Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix; experience with dental coding is a plus Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Ability to operate dental equipment including radiograph machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred; CPR certification is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques Being able to write a complete sentence with proper verbiage and punctuation Graduated from an EFDA program with at least a Certificate, DANB candidates preferred Radiology certified Nitrous oxide sedation certified CPR certified Join us today to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding dental care!
