Valley Ridge Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a motivated, compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who already has hands-on dental assisting experience and is looking to continue growing their skills in pediatric dentistry. About the Role As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide quality care while helping children feel comfortable and confident during their visits. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures Take dental X-rays and prepare materials and treatment areas Help provide a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for young patients Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment Maintain accurate patient records and assist with office flow Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure smooth daily operations Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience is required Pediatric dental experience is strongly preferred Experience taking dental X-rays and assisting during dental procedures A genuine interest in working with children and families Strong communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus Why Join Us?
