Duties Perform comprehensive general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants with precision and care. Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose dental conditions accurately using medical and dental terminology, and develop effective treatment plans aligned with state healthcare regulations and HIPAA standards. Utilize Open Dental practice management software to document medical records, treatment plans, and progress notes efficiently while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures to ensure patient safety and uphold clinic standards. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance workflow efficiency and patient comfort. Communicate clearly with patients in both Spanish and English to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-care instructions while fostering trust and understanding. Administer local anesthesia as needed to ensure patient comfort during procedures. Skills Proficiency in Open Dental practice management software. Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis, medical terminology, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Experience with pediatric dentistry, endodontics (root canals), oral surgery, prosthodontics (crowns & bridges), orthodontics, and dental implants. Ability to perform dental extractions and administer local anesthesia. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure compliance in all documentation and patient interactions. Excellent client communication skills in both Spanish and English to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs. Requirements Active Florida Dental License. Active Medicaid credentialing required. Fluent Spanish speaker (required).
