Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis, utilizing advanced medical imaging and dental terminology. Deliver a broad spectrum of dental treatments such as restorations, extractions, , , orthodontics, and oral surgery tailored to pediatric patients. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Open Dental for accurate documentation of medical records and treatment plans. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care in an understandable manner. Collaborate with specialists in pediatric dentistry, anesthesiology, and other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain proficiency in dental fabrication techniques and stay updated on advancements in dental technology and procedures. Ensure proper sterilization procedures are followed during dental procedures involving oral surgery or dental implants. Manage patient flow efficiently while providing exceptional client communication and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with a focus on general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. Demonstrated expertise in performing dental diagnosis, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is required. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques relevant to dental practice. Experience managing medical documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA standards and state healthcare regulations. Ability to perform dental extractions, implant placements, and other advanced procedures confidently. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients about their oral health needs effectively.
