Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection prevention management protocols. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental chairs with precision and safety. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment plans. Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and providing excellent patient care that emphasizes comfort and trust. Follow aseptic techniques during chairside assisting to prevent infection transmission while supporting four-handed dentistry practices. Maintain the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and opertories in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards. Requirements Atleast (2) years experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings. Proficiency in Dentrix is essential for managing patient records efficiently. Strong knowledge of dental terminology enhances your ability to assist effectively. Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with patients when necessary and provide compassionate patient management. Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices is critical to uphold safety standards. Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred; ongoing education in areas like oral surgery or endodontics is a plus.
