Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans based on accurate dental diagnosis and medical history. Utilize advanced dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix to document patient records accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance and adhering to state healthcare regulations. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, treatment options, and post-procedure care using clear communication and professional dental terminology. Maintain detailed medical documentation, medical imaging, and dental fabrication records while ensuring compliance with all legal standards related to medical records management. Requirements Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice general dentistry in the designated area. Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting with proficiency in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, dental diagnosis techniques, and infection control procedures. Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures including pediatric dentistry techniques. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and patient privacy. Experience with medical imaging technology and understanding of anatomy for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
