Journey Kids Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a friendly, energetic, organized, and experienced Dental Assistant with orthodontic experience to join our growing team. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate: Has previous orthodontic dental assisting experience Is friendly, bubbly, energetic, and positive Loves working with children and families Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Is organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Works well as part of a team Is dependable, punctual, and responsible Takes initiative and is willing to help wherever needed Provides excellent patient and parent experiences Maintains professionalism while still being warm and approachable Is comfortable learning and following established clinical systems and protocols Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred. Responsibilities As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you will support our orthodontic provider and clinical team while helping create an exceptional experience for every patient. Responsibilities may include: Assisting the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring proper setup Taking dental X-rays and clinical photographs as permitted Taking impressions or digital scans Assisting with orthodontic records Supporting bracket placement, adjustments, appliance delivery, and other orthodontic procedures within the permitted scope of practice Providing patients and parents with instructions regarding orthodontic appliances and home care Maintaining proper infection-control and sterilization standards Documenting treatment accurately in the patient's chart Maintaining organized clinical areas and supplies Helping manage patient flow and keeping the clinical schedule running efficiently Communicating professionally and compassionately with patients, parents, doctors, and team members Creating a fun, comfortable, and positive environment for our pediatric and orthodontic patients Personality Matters at Journey Kids Dental Clinical experience is important, but how you make our patients feel is just as important .
