Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans. Diagnose dental conditions using clinical examination, medical imaging, and diagnostic tools, ensuring accurate and timely treatment. Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canal therapy, extractions, and prosthodontics. Conduct specialized procedures including dental implants, oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry as needed. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Adhere to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with dental team members utilizing Four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient workflow. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques by participating in ongoing education and training. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with a strong foundation in general dentistry practices. Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes. Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Familiarity with infection control standards and sterilization procedures aligned with OSHA guidelines. Ability to communicate clearly with diverse patient populations while providing compassionate client care. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health assessments and treatment planning.
