Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Boise, ID
What the Role Looks Like, We are looking for a friendly, reliable Dental Assistant to join our team and work side-by-side with our solo dentist. In this role, you will help out with specialized procedures, get patients and rooms ready for treatment, and chat with patients to explain their care plans, healing steps, and oral hygiene tips. You will report directly to the dentist and our office manager.What You'll Do Every Day Help out chairside during dental procedures. Greet patients and get them ready for their appointments so everything runs smoothly. Set up and clean up treatment rooms. Help take X-rays and prep dental impressions. Sterilize dental tools and keep everything clean and safe. Walk patients through their next steps , including post-treatment care and explaining treatment plans. Coach patients on the best ways to care for their teeth at home. What We Are Looking For Experience : At least two years of hands-on experience working in a dental office. Background : Youâve finished dental assisting school or have solid experience working in a dental practice. Skills : Comfort with four-handed dentistry , dental X-rays, infection control, and keeping tools sterilized. Software : Familiarity with dental software like Dentix or Dentrix is a big plus. Personality : Great communication skills, a caring attitude with patients, strong attention to detail, and the drive to jump in and help out without being asked.
