Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Rockville, MD
Dental Assistant â Experience Preferred / Willing to Train Crown Dental Care is a busy, patient-focused dental practice seeking a dependable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. Dental assisting experience is strongly preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who is reliable, hardworking, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in dentistry. For experienced candidates, we are especially interested in applicants who are comfortable with digital X-rays, impressions/scanning, crown and bridge procedures, cosmetic dentistry, and implant procedures. For candidates who are newer to dentistry, responsibilities may initially focus more heavily on sterilization, infection control, operatory turnover, stocking, and supporting the clinical team while learning additional dental assisting responsibilities. Responsibilities may include: Assisting dentists during a variety of dental procedures Taking digital X-rays Preparing and turning over treatment rooms Sterilizing instruments and maintaining proper infection-control protocols Taking impressions and/or digital scans Assisting with crown and bridge, cosmetic, surgical, and implant procedures Maintaining clinical supplies and stocking treatment rooms Helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit Maintaining accurate clinical documentation Following OSHA and infection-control guidelines What we're looking for: Dental assisting experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate X-ray certification preferred for experienced Dental Assistant candidates Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality Organized and attentive to detail Friendly and comfortable interacting with patients Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed Motivated to learn and grow CPR certification is a plus We offer competitive compensation based on experience, health/dental/vision benefits, paid time off and holidays, continuing education opportunities, and a friendly, collaborative work environment.
