Responsibilities Diagnose and treat periodontal disease and complex periodontal conditions. Market the practice to gain referring doctors. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards. Stay current with advancements in periodontology through continuing education and professional development activities. Qualifications Board Certification in Periodontology is required. Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure to practice dentistry; specialty certification in periodontology is essential. Proven experience as a periodontist. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and engage patients. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary dental team.
