Front Desk / Insurance Coordinator Cleary Family Dentistry – Canton, MI Cleary Family Dentistry is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk / Insurance Coordinator to join our growing dental practice. We are seeking someone who provides excellent patient service while confidently managing dental insurance, claims, scheduling, and patient accounts. This position is ideal for someone who is personable and welcoming with patients but also detail-oriented and proactive when it comes to the financial and insurance side of the practice. Responsibilities Greet patients and provide a warm, professional front-office experience Answer phones, texts, and patient inquiries Schedule appointments and maintain an efficient provider schedule Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, frequencies, and limitations Obtain and maintain accurate insurance information Review treatment plans and estimated patient portions Submit dental claims accurately and promptly Attach necessary X-rays, narratives, and supporting documentation to claims Follow up on outstanding and unpaid insurance claims Research and resolve denied or rejected claims Post insurance payments and EOBs accurately Collect patient balances and copays Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding patient balances Submit and track pre-authorizations when necessary Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Help keep the front office organized and running efficiently Communicate effectively with the doctor, clinical team, patients, and insurance companies Qualifications Dental front office and dental insurance experience strongly preferred Knowledge of PPO dental insurance, claims, EOBs, and benefit verification Understanding of dental terminology and common dental procedures Strong communication and customer-service skills Comfortable discussing treatment costs and collecting payments Organized with excellent attention to detail Able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Comfortable learning and using dental practice-management software What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the front desk and insurance process rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done. The right person will be proactive about outstanding claims, unscheduled treatment, patient balances, schedule openings, and anything that may affect the patient experience or practice revenue.
