Dental Assistant - Dental Health and Wellness Center - Troy, MI

Family owned dental practice with locations in Troy and Detroit seeking a full time dental assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about patient care, dependable, willing to learn, and takes full ownership of their role in the office. Full time availability with previous experience preferable. Must be able to commute to both locations. We're a traditional general dentistry practice with a strong focus on building patient relationships. Patient care hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, (Troy) 9 am - 5 pm Wednesday (Detroit ) 10 am - 5 pm Rotating Saturdays (September - May) 9 am - 2 pm Dental Assistant Duties Opening/closing office Radiographs (film) Make temporaries Impressions/Digital Scanning Model making and trimming Charting Sterilization Inventory management Lab case management Room turnover Patient and lab communication Scheduling when needed Restorative, endodontics, simple oral surgery, prosthodontics Ortho/Invisalign experience a plus 3+ years expereince preferred, but not necessary. Willing to train the right candidate. Pay commensurate on experience. Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification (x-ray) or training is an asset Pay: From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 38.0 per week Benefits: Paid time off Application Question(s): Are you able to reliably commute to BOTH Troy and Detroit locations?
