Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Dental Assistant to join our growing dynamic team in a state of the art independent Periodontal and implant office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with dental professionals. Duties Assist dentists during surgical procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Ensure the surgical area is clean and organized, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Provide support in managing patient records and medical documentation accurately. Help with patient management, including preparing patients for treatment and providing post-operative care instructions. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the clinic. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary. Stay updated on best practices in dental assisting, including knowledge of Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Pediatrics. Skills Proficient in documentation practices relevant to dental procedures. Experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is highly desirable. Knowledge of infection control standards and practices within a clinical setting. Strong understanding of anatomy as it relates to dental procedures. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with various dental specialties such as Prosthodontics and Endodontics is an asset.
