Dental Assistant â General Dentistry Location: One Dental Place, Fresno, CA Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Pay: Hourly wage based on experience and qualifications Hours: Weekly hours will depend on experience, availability, and office needs. Job Description One Dental Place is looking for a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a busy dental office. Responsibilities Assist the dentist with examinations, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions, implants, and other dental procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment. Provide efficient chairside assistance and anticipate the dentist's needs. Take dental X-rays and intraoral scans when properly certified and authorized. Assist with impressions, temporary crowns, and other clinical procedures within the permitted scope of practice. Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize instruments according to infection-control protocols. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment. Prepare patients for treatment, help them feel comfortable, and provide post-treatment instructions as directed. Update patient charts and assist with clinical documentation. Monitor dental supplies and maintain equipment and sterilization records. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable California dental regulations. Work collaboratively with the dentist and the rest of the dental team. Qualifications Dental assisting experience preferred; candidates with different experience levels may be considered. Required California certifications and permits for assigned duties. CPR/BLS certification as required for the position. Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, sterilization, and infection control. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Professional attitude, punctuality, dependability, and a willingness to learn. Ability to work well with patients and team members in a fast-paced environment. Schedule and Compensation Both full-time and part-time opportunities may be available. Weekly hours and hourly wage will depend on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and availability. Compensation and scheduling will be discussed during the interview.
