Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech - Issaquah Creek Dental - Issaquah, WA

We are looking for our next great Dental Assistant to join our team! This is a great entry level position for a dental assistant looking to build their confidence in a second restorative operatory and learning the details of digital dentistry and CEREC . We are a privately owned, non-DSO practice that is patient focused rather than production focused. Technical skills are valued, but more importantly we are looking for a team member that fits in with the team and enjoys putting their focus on the patient. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Take and develop dental x-rays and medical imaging - Maintain patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns - Assist with dental emergencies and provide first aid as needed Qualifications: - Dental assisting training required - Knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures - Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft - Proficient in taking dental x-rays and medical imaging - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy guidelines - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
