Responsibilities Perform thorough patient examinations, including dental assessments and medical history reviews, utilizing dental terminology and medical documentation standards. Diagnose dental conditions accurately using clinical findings, dental imaging, and knowledge of anatomy and infection control protocols. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans encompassing general dentistry procedures such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Conduct procedures adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Utilize practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and maintaining detailed medical records. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions while fostering client communication skills. Collaborate with team members on complex cases involving pediatric dentistry or specialized procedures like endodontics or oral surgery to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure to practice dentistry with current credentials in good standing. Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental diagnosis, dental fabrication, dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other restorative procedures. Familiarity with dental practice management software such as open dental Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and healthcare diagnosis standards.
