Pay: $20.00–$30.00 per hour | Based on demonstrated experience and clinical proficiency Job Summary MyFamily Braces Orthodontics is seeking a dependable, skilled, and patient-focused Experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing practice in Martinez, Georgia. Key Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist with bonding, debonding, adjustments, appliance delivery, and other orthodontic procedures. Prepare patients, instruments, materials, and treatment areas for efficient clinical appointments. Perform orthodontic procedures such as archwire changes, elastomeric ties, power chains, and appliance-related tasks as authorized, trained, and permitted under Georgia law. Obtain digital photographs, impressions, intraoral scans, radiographs, and orthodontic records as appropriately qualified and assigned. Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, orthodontic appliances, elastics, and treatment compliance. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic patient records. Follow established sterilization, infection-control, OSHA, and patient privacy protocols. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment areas. Assist with inventory management, supply monitoring, and minimizing material waste. Coordinate effectively with the orthodontist, clinical assistants, and front desk to support an efficient patient schedule. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a positive attitude toward patients and team members. Qualifications and Experience Required: Previous hands-on dental assisting experience. Strong chairside assisting skills and knowledge of clinical infection-control procedures. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety. Dependability, professionalism, and willingness to follow established clinical protocols. Ability to work positively with children, teenagers, adults, and families. Commitment to teamwork, patient satisfaction, and continuous improvement. Strongly Preferred: Direct orthodontic assisting experience, a minimum of two years of direct orthodontic assisting experience required. Experience with orthodontic adjustments, archwire changes, bonding/debonding assistance, and appliance procedures. Dental assisting education or recognized professional certification. Georgia-recognized Expanded Duties Dental Assistant training and applicable orthodontic expanded-duty certificates. Current CPR/BLS certification and required dental radiography training. Familiarity with digital scanning and orthodontic records. Experience using Cloud 9 Orthodontics or similar practice-management software. Compensation $20.00–$30.00 per hour , depending on verified experience, demonstrated orthodontic clinical skills, applicable certifications, and ability to perform assigned responsibilities efficiently.
