Hook Orthodontics is looking for a professional Orthodontic Assistant to join our motivated and ambitious team. Responsibilities: Clearly communicate patient needs/concerns with the orthodontist Thoroughly educate patients on various procedures and treatment recommendations Provide post-operative and general oral health care instructions to patients Gather all patient dental records Notate patient charting and clinical notes Take digital x-rays Provide chair side assistance to the orthodontist during treatment Maintain patient room supplies and ensure inventory is appropriately stocked Sterilize instruments and equipment and assemble trays Perform various laboratory duties Other duties as assigned Qualifications: MUST HAVE prior experience as an orthodontic assistant Knowledge of dental/orthodontic terminology Previous experience using Cloud9 practice management software is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient computer skills Strong organizational skills Exceptional attention-to-detail Cloud 9 Software Experience is a plus!
