Experienced Orthodontic Assistant – Part-Time Oaks Point Orthodontics | Houston, TX $22+ per hour | Part-Time | Approximately 3 Days per Week Help Create Confident Smiles! What You'll Do As an Orthodontic Assistant, you'll work closely with our orthodontist and clinical team to provide exceptional care throughout each patient's treatment journey. Your responsibilities will include: Assist the orthodontist chairside during orthodontic procedures and adjustments. Perform orthodontic assisting duties, including wire changes, appliance adjustments, and bracket-related procedures, as permitted by Texas regulations. Capture digital X-rays, intraoral photographs, and digital impressions/scans. Educate patients and families on orthodontic appliances, oral hygiene, and home care. Prepare treatment areas and maintain proper sterilization and infection control standards. Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment documentation. Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their treatment. Collaborate with teammates to maintain an organized, efficient, and positive clinical environment. What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of orthodontic assisting experience required; 3+ years preferred. Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) registration. Current CPR certification. Strong orthodontic clinical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills. A positive, professional attitude and commitment to teamwork. Dependability, adaptability, and availability to work a flexible three-day schedule. Additional experience we'd love to see: Experience with Open Dental software. Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish). Experience working with children, teens, and adults. Familiarity with digital orthodontic workflows and scanning technology.
