Overview The Expanded Functions Dental Assistant supports dentists in delivering efficient, patient-centered care. This role combines clinical assistance, expanded dental procedures within applicable scope of practice, and accurate use of Eaglesoft software. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials; maintain cleanliness and follow infection-control protocols. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and help patients feel informed and comfortable. Perform expanded functions as permitted by applicable regulations and the dentist’s direction. Use Eaglesoft to support patient records, appointment scheduling, and clinical documentation. Your impact: Accurate records and attentive chairside support help the dental team coordinate care and give patients a smoother visit. Qualifications Dental assisting experience and credentials required for expanded functions in the applicable jurisdiction. Familiarity with Eaglesoft software. Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and chairside assisting practices. Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with patients and the dental team.
