Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part Time Dentist to join our vibrant dental team in Ruston, WA. Responsibilities Perform general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics. Utilize dental imaging techniques and interpret medical imaging results to inform treatment decisions. Maintain precise medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Execute infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow and patient experience. Stay current with advancements in dental terminology, technology (such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix), and best practices in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and implantology. Skills Proficiency in dental office experience and familiarity with dental fabrication processes. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control standards. Experience with dental software platforms including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable. Ability to perform dental extractions, oral surgery procedures, root canal therapy, and manage complex cases involving prosthodontics or orthodontics. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care and client satisfaction. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and records management. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques.
