Job Overview As a Dentist, youâll deliver thoughtful, evidence-informed care across general dentistry, helping patients understand their options and feel confident in their treatment. Youâll assess oral health, make dental diagnoses, and develop care plans that may include preventive, restorative, or specialty procedures. Youâll document care accurately, protect patient privacy, and work closely with clinical colleagues to keep visits safe and coordinated. Duties Perform patient assessments and healthcare diagnoses; explain findings and treatment options using clear, supportive client communication. Provide general dentistry, including dental extractions and, as qualified, root canal therapy, oral surgery, dental implants, and prosthodontic care. Support pediatric dentistry and coordinate orthodontic, endodontic, and anesthesiology needs when appropriate. Use medical imaging and dental fabrication processes as needed; apply anatomy knowledge, aseptic technique, and infection control practices. Maintain medical records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Your impact: Accurate diagnoses and clear explanations help patients make informed decisions and receive safer, more coordinated care. Experience Dental degree and active license required for the jurisdiction of practice; meet applicable state requirements. Dental office or dental clinic experience preferred. Experience with four-handed dentistry and patient care is valued. Familiarity with dental terminology and medical terminology, plus clinical experience in pediatrics, general dentistry, or related procedures. Experience with Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is helpful; proficiency in medical records systems is preferred.
