The position We are seeking an accomplished Registered Dental Assistant (RDA or RDAEF) to join our clinical team. The right candidate takes pride in precise, efficient chairside work, anticipates the dentist's needs, and earns patients' trust through clear, caring communication. You will practice to the full scope of your license. Responsibilities Assist chairside across restorative, cosmetic, implant and orthodontic procedures Prepare operatories, instruments and materials so each procedure runs smoothly Take radiographs and intraoral images; seat patients and review medical histories Perform RDA duties such as coronal polishing and provisional crowns, and sealants if certified RDAEFs: perform extended functions within your license, such as cord retraction, final impressions and restorations Maintain sterilization and infection control to Dental Board of California and Cal/OSHA standards Explain post-operative instructions and keep patients informed and comfortable throughout treatment Qualifications Current California RDA or RDAEF license in good standing (required) Current BLS/CPR certification 2+ years of chairside experience preferred Meticulous attention to detail and a calm, confident chairside manner Polished, professional communication with patients and colleagues Dependable, organized and committed to continuous improvement Compensation and benefits $23–$33 per hour, based on experience and licensure; RDAEFs and experienced RDAs are paid toward the top of the range Hourly, with overtime pay under California law 401(k) with a company match of up to 4% of pay after one year of employment Paid holidays after 90 days, paid time off, and 40 hours of paid sick leave per year Reduced-cost dental care for employees Schedule Full-time position, Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a one-hour lunch (32 hours per week).
