Dental Assistant (2+ Years Experience) | TLC Dentistry, Dunedin, FL TLC Dentistry, a privately owned, predominantly fee-for-service general practice in Dunedin, FL, is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. We offer everything from preventive care to implants, oral surgery, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry, so you’ll assist with a wide range of procedures. We’re looking for a professional who takes ownership of their work, holds themselves accountable, and a team player who knows dental procedures well enough to anticipate the doctor’s needs. Our team is cross-trained, so this role includes supporting the front desk as well as chairside. Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday Our team arrives 20 minutes before the first patient for a morning huddle. Pay: $18-$23/hour, based on experience and performance What You’ll Do Provide chairside assistance for restorative, surgical, implant, and cosmetic procedures Anticipate instrument and material needs and keep procedures running smoothly Take digital radiographs and intraoral photos Set up and break down treatment rooms Follow OSHA and infection control protocols for sterilization and instrument processing Take impressions (traditional and digital) and fabricate temporaries Support patient communication and comfort before, during, and after procedures Assist with front desk responsibilities, such as greeting patients, scheduling, and check-in/check-out What We’re Looking For 2+ years of experience as a dental assistant (required) Openness to cross-training in front desk duties Solid working knowledge of restorative, endodontic, surgical, and implant procedures Florida radiography certification (EFDA a strong plus) Professional, accountable, and dependable, including consistent punctuality A team player who stays calm and level-headed in a fast-paced office Warm, professional communication with patients and coworkers Experience with Open Dental a plus; we’ll train the right person Compensation $18-$23/hour, based on experience Performance-based bonus opportunities Interview Process: Phone interview, then an in-person interview.
