Dental Assistant | Weekend Evenings | Dental Emergency Center Lawrenceville, Georgia | Part-time | Starting at $25/hour Saturdays and Sundays, 1:00–7:00 p.m. (approximately 12 hours per week) Help patients feel comfortable when they need care most. Dental Emergency Center is expanding its weekend evening team. We are looking for an experienced dental assistant who brings strong chairside skills, a positive attitude, and a warm, reassuring approach to patients. Our fast-paced emergency office prioritizes same-day treatment, so your preparation, communication, and attention to detail make a difference throughout each visit. The 1 p.m. start allows overlap with our daytime team for preparation and patient handoffs before evening coverage. WHAT YOU WILL DO Assist chairside with extractions, surgical extractions and wisdom tooth removal, root canals, crowns and bridges, fillings, and incision and drainage procedures. Prepare rooms, instruments, and materials, anticipate the dentist’s needs, and support organized patient flow. Take diagnostic-quality dental X-rays within your training and authorized scope. Keep patients informed and comfortable, especially when they are anxious or in pain. Maintain sterilization, infection-control procedures, room turnover, and supplies. Document visit details accurately in Archy and support clear handoffs and dentist-directed post-operative instructions. Take initiative with assigned responsibilities while recognizing when to ask for the dentist’s direction. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Prior hands-on dental assisting experience and confidence supporting the procedures listed above. Strong knowledge of instruments, procedure setup, dental terminology, and infection control. A friendly, professional manner, dependable attendance, and a team-first attitude. The ability to work promptly and stay organized without compromising patient care or documentation. Availability for Saturday and Sunday afternoon/evening shifts. English/Spanish bilingual ability preferred, not required. Expanded-functions dental assistants (EFDA) are welcome to apply. Expanded duties must remain within applicable qualifications and dentist supervision. Archy experience is helpful, but not required. WHY THIS ROLE Consistent weekend afternoon/evening schedule.
